Up Close and PERSONAL:
I wanted to share something SPECIAL that happened to Me recently. I have a very close FAMILY friend who is sick. It is really heartbreaking to watch this wonderful man going through hell with cancer. He’s is pain, so much pain. I wish that I could help in some small way. Well, I received a note from him that really meant a lot to Me. The note was simple and sweet, I could almost hear his voice as I read his words as he said: I like to play UNO. I like to put puzzles together while listening to music or watching a movie. I like to sing in the shower. I like to sing when I am alone, I’m not very good. Like to read a good book. I like playing Twister. I like going on walks. I like going on hikes. I like going on walks on the beach. I like going to art fairs. I like watching live plays. I like museums. I like shooting pool. I like when people help each other. I like word puzzles. I like playing scrabble. I like playing clue. I like hearing rain hit the roof. I like Christmas. My favorite food is pizza. My favorite color is purple. My favorite band is Supertramp. My favorite memory is sitting at piano watching my sister play Christmas music, with every one there, My Mom, My Dad, and My brother. I had a connection with a woman who could finish my sentences. My favorite time of the day is mornings as the sun peaks over the land. I love the smell of rain and early mornings.
Isn’t this beautiful! Let it remind us to LIVE. There's so much to Life and so many things to experience, but the most AMAZING things are RIGHT IN FRONT of US. SIMPLE things...Things that cost NOTHING. Things we can do together.
